Sono stati annunciati i Bafta Awards 2024, tra i premi cinematografici più importanti al mondo la cui cerimonia di premiazione si tiene nella prestigiosa location del Royal Albert Hall, e che come di consueto precedono l'arrivo degli Oscar. Tra i film protagonisti prima dell'annuncio: Oppenheimer di Cristopher Nolan che guida la lista delle nomination con 13, seguito da Povere Creature di Yorgos Lanthimos (11). Strapotere per il film dedicato al fisico teorico statunitense e sulla sua direzione del progetto Manhattan.

L'elenco dei film vincitori

I Baft 2024 hanno visto trionfare numerose produzioni e film originali. Ecco la lista di tutti i vincitori (in grassetto) nelle rispettive categorie tra tutte le nomination. Su tredici nomination, Oppenheimer ha fatto incetta di premi: è il miglior film, poi trionfano Cristopher Nolan (miglior regista), Cillian Murphy (miglior attore) e Robert Downey Jr. che ha vinto il premio come miglior attore non protagonista. Oppenheimer trionfa anche come miglior colonna sonora. Emma Stone è la migliore attrice per Povere Creature!. Il film vince anche i premi come miglior costume design e miglior make-up. Da'Vine Joy Randolph ha vinto il premio di pari categoria femminile per The Holdovers.
